Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a referral?

You can either give out your affiliate link and have the new customer sign up with that link, or you can have the new customer mention your name or business name in the order notes field during sign up and we'll mark the order as referred by you.

How long do I need to wait after a referral before I get paid?

Your affiliate commission will be available 30 days after the referred order is activated, and 30 days after each renewal event.

Where do the payments go?

Commission is paid to your affiliate balance. You are able to request this be transferred to your credit balance once it reaches £10, where you can either spend it on new File Sanctuary services, or you can leave it in your credit balance and it'll be automatically used to reduce your next invoice. Any unused credit will remain in your credit balance for future invoices.

How quickly do I need to use my commission payments?

Your affiliate balance and credit balance do not expire, so there's no rush.

Are any products or services excluded?

It is not currently possible to earn affiliate credits on domain names, Dynamic Cloud usage, Sophos, or our ad-hoc consulting services.

Are there any other exclusions?

You cannot refer yourself to get discounts on your own orders. Suspected fraud or misuse of the affiliate programme may result in adjustments to your affiliate balance or suspension from the programme. Any such decisions regarding affiliate payments are at the sole discretion of File Sanctuary.
